  8. EISA Bus personal computers to an IEEE 802.5/IBM-compatible Token-Ring network.
  9. Featuring high-performance 32-bit bus master I/O, the p1990 is software
  10. configurable for either 4 Mbps or 16 Mbps network speed and for operation over
  11. either Shielded Twisted-Pair (STP) or Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) cable. With
  12. 128 KB of onboard memory, the p1990 provides the larger packet buffering needed
  13. for high-speed 16 Mbps applications

  16. and certified by Novell for compatibility with NetWare 3.X and 2.X, and by
  17. Microsoft for compatibility with OS/2 LAN Manager. They support other popular
  18. networking environments, including Banyan Vines, Digital, PATHWORKS, FTP
  19. Software PC/TCP, IBM networking software, and SCO UNIX.
